The purpose for writing this is to update everyone on a few new additions to my sets of bushings. First and foremost, Yellow is now available as a color which may help out some of our fellow 3G's out there not wanting Red Bushings. Second of all, I'm still having a supply problem. The two places I've been purchasing my Polyurethane from have both switched to Yellow, and claim that they can no longer get red. The good news to this is, I can now get Yellow Polyurethane; I've also been able to locate the Red Poly in some places about 50 miles from my place which is in the Dallas area of TX. The Downfall is, I can't just travel down the street anymore to get what I need unless more of you would perfer Yellow bushings.
Seems how I've got a supply issue on the correct colors, I've decided to ask for help from
a good friend of mine; welcome Nick Alford to the 3G Sway Bar End Link Bushing
foundation. :) Nick's going to jump in and help me out tremendously with the bushing
orders. From this point on, if you receive Bushings with the post mark stamp saying
Denton, TX on the envelope, then you'll know that Nick has sent them to you. To protect
his privacy, we've decided to keep my addy in the return area if a shipping problem
occurs. However, Nick will be able to produce the bushings on a weekly basis now as
opposed to the many many weeks I got myself behind in. I've personally trained him in the
"art of", and I know he's ready to start producing sets for us.
I've also added something else to the list of "updates" for these bushing kits; front
bushing connection rods. Below, you'll see a picture that's of the front sway bar
(right front wheel area); each item is numbered as to denote specific individual parts.
You should note that the part #17 is a front bushing rod. This is what connects your
Sway Bar End to the Lower Controler Arm. Between all of this, you'll find part #16 which
happens to be the bushings my kit is replacing. At any rate, These are the two items
being shipped with my kit, and I felt that everyone should have a visual to look at if
needed when you go to install the kit.
The purpose for the new Rods (#17 above) came from personal experiance. Those rods over time (avg. of 10 years now) will take a lot of abuse from turns. The threads have proven to me to be very weak on the stock rods with a set of bushings that just flat won't compress under load. Because of this, I lost a bushing on my front driver side sway bar as the 12mm holding nut came off; the rod had actually stripped the threads off during a hard turn. By replacing this item, the rods are not only new, but you'll have zero problems trying to keep the items on your car. My situation was so bad that I actually bent my front sway bar a bit from the impact of the bar into the lower controler arm. I've now driven on the new bar and bushing/rod combo for the last 5 months and have had no issues with them; problem solved. That does it for this update, and I pray it to be the last of its kind for the bushings. Now that I've updated the kit with new rods and a choice of bushing color, I hope to make this something that more of you might like to own. I've also gone as far as to higher some help on my end in producing these sets, and I know that Nick will come through for me. By the way, though I've highered Nick to help me out, I'm in no way going to raise the cost on the set of bushings to you; $40 stands firm. I'm also adding the rods in at my expense as to prevent problems with the "new bushing/old rod" combo from ever happening. I hope that these updates will prove to enhance what I'm offering and make it more appealable to you the driver. As always, email me if you have any Questions about the product.
